If you love slow, meaningful travel without rushing through destinations, you’re in the right place.
Hey, I’m Divya Agarwal – the voice behind Hopping Tales.
Travel, for me, is more than checking places off a bucket list — it’s about stories and experiences. The different kinds of street doors, the smell of a street-side chai stall, the thrill of walking and exploring an unknown city on foot, finding something unforgettable, and making a lot of memories.
Hopping Tales is where I collect these moments and share them with you.
The Hopping Tales Journal will help you travel slower, experience deeper, and avoid rushed itineraries.
My story
I discovered the thrill of travelling and exploring new places very late in life, when I started taking short solo trips in my 20s around Mumbai, and I have never looked back.

An underconstructed temple premise in the interiors of Mainpat, Chhattisgarh, India. Soon, that turned into my obsession with doing at least one trip a year, and since then, I’ve wandered through several offbeat international locations and numerous Indian towns, chasing socio-cultural spots, hidden cafés, and sunset spots.
I started this blog as a travel diary, but over time it’s become a space to
- Share itineraries and offbeat guides
- Capture local culture, food, and crafts
- Inspire readers to see the world slowly and mindfully
